Why Somalia?

Somalia is the world’s most vulnerable country to humanitarian crises or disasters. Conflict and periods of severe drought forcibly displace families and contribute to food scarcity, while insecurity makes the delivery of urgent humanitarian support difficult. Millions of people need urgent humanitarian assistance but have very limited access to quality health care, nutrition, water, sanitation, or hygiene services.

How You Can Help

Medair has over a decade of experience in Somalia and a network of trusted local partners. Your gifts bring hope to people in Somalia who may not otherwise receive essential humanitarian support. We can work together to bring urgent nutrition support, quality health care and promotion, safe drinking water, and shelter solutions to families affected by drought and conflict. We are united in bringing life-saving assistance to reduce Somali families’ extreme vulnerability and strengthening capacity at the community level. The needs in Somalia are immense – but with you, we will not turn away.
