Why Afghanistan?

Afghanistan is one of the world’s most complex humanitarian emergencies. More than 28.3 million people need assistance from the combined effects of prolonged drought, isolation, natural disasters, and insecurity that displaces people and creates challenges for the delivery of humanitarian support. Families often don’t have enough food to eat, young children are malnourished, and people lack access to health care, safe drinking water, and sanitation.

How You Can Help

You can ensure that life-saving assistance reaches people who live in some of the hardest to reach communities in Afghanistan. Your support treats malnourished children, provides families with cash to buy food for the winter, helps women grow nutritious vegetable gardens, educates people on health, hygiene, and nutrition, and provides them with safe water sources. There are so many ways your gift makes a meaningful difference for people in Afghanistan.
