Führungspositionen sind in unseren Projektgebieten, in den Länderbüros und am Schweizer Hauptsitz zu besetzen. Ihr Aufgabengebiet ist unterschiedlich. In der Regel werden folgende Punkte jedoch vorausgesetzt:
- Führen von verschiedenen Teams
- Umgang mit unsicheren Gebieten
- Fähigkeit, verschiedene Interessensgruppen zu koordinieren
- Entwicklung und Steuerung von Kernstrategien

Current opportunities
Community Engagement and Safeguarding Advisor
ROC Required
Provide technical leadership, strategic guidance, and quality assurance for Community Engagement approaches across Medair's multi-sector programs in Health, Nutrition, WASH, Protection, and other sectors. Support the Community Engagement Manager and Project Managers to design, strengthen, harmonize, monitor, and continually improve Community Engagement, Behaviour Change Communication (BCC), Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP), safeguarding integration, and community feedback mechanisms. The Community Engagement Advisor serves as Medair's technical focal point for community engagement, ensuring that approaches are evidence-based, aligned with global standards, donor requirements, and organizational strategies, while building the capacity of managers and field teams.
Deputy Country Director

Working at country-level, the Deputy Country Director provides strategic, operational, and managerial leadership to ensure effective programme implementation and support function performance. The role supports country strategy development, oversees programme coordination, strengthens systems and compliance, and deputizes for the Country Director when required. The DCD plays a key role in donor engagement, external representation, and cross-team collaboration.
Project Coordinator
ROC Required
Leading a diverse team who are committed to serving the world’s most vulnerable with practical and compassionate care, the Projects Coordinator oversees the implementation and coordination of the designated field projects, including security management. Providing leadership to the provincial team in Uruzgan, the Projects Coordinator plays a key role in liaison with local authorities and other relevant stakeholders, including in access negotiations.

Medair’s Relief & Recovery Orientation Course (ROC) is a one-week simulation course that will help determine if a humanitarian career with Medair is the right fit for you, and if you are a strong fit for Medair. After participating in the course, you will enter a “pool” of qualified candidates that are ready to be called upon to respond to humanitarian crises. When needs arise in our country programmes, we will offer you a position in line with your competencies and our needs. If you apply for an international position, the ROC will be mandatory for you to work in our country programmes.
