Mary is just 3 years old. Her family lost everything when severe flooding destroyed their remote village in South Sudan. They fled with nothing and, displaced without a source of income, couldn’t find enough food. They resorted to eating water lilies to survive. Mary was admitted to Medair’s nutrition clinic suffering life-threatening acute malnutrition - she is just one of millions of children at risk in a country where 1 in 10 children don't live to see their 5th birthday.
No child should suffer like this - not at Christmas, not ever.
