Role Summary

Manage and monitor the assigned projects, in line with the objectives, M&E plan, timeframe and budget. Manage and train staff, encourage beneficiary participation, liaise with other stakeholders, and contribute to the development of new proposals and reports.

Project Overview

This multi-sectoral project in North Darfur State, Sudan, seeks to enhance resilience, improve access to essential services, and foster stronger collaboration among communities. It will strengthen local community groups in pre-identified localities to deliver integrated support via cash and voucher assistance (CVA), water, sanitation and hygiene(WASH), health, and nutrition while exploring new activities to meet emerging needs.

Workplace & Conditions

The post will be based in West Darfur with regular travel to project locations.

Responsibilities:

•                    Responsible for implementation, management, quality, monitoring, and supervision of WASH, Health, Nutrition and CVA activities in line with the activity plan, budget, and timeframe of relevant projects

•                    Manage and oversee project team, including recruitment, day-to-day management, and personal and professional development

•                    Responsible for engagement with local and international partners, ensuring high levels of local engagement in all project activities and facilitating effective collaboration with international partners

•                    Develop and manage budgets for the assigned projects, manage purchasing, procurement, and handover of necessary supplies and equipment with support from relevant field managers

•                    Implement relevant policies and standards relating to current operations, including national and international standards, donor guidelines and best practices

•                    Oversee project monitoring, evaluation, and learning to track progress, measure impact, strengthen accountability and improve overall program quality

Qualifications, Experience & Technical Competencies:

•                    Higher level qualification in a technical field, BSc/MSc in a relevant engineering field  

•                    Strong working knowledge of English (spoken and written)

•                    Experience working with community-based groups in a humanitarian context

•                    Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook

•                    2 Years of professional post-qualification experience in a relevant field
