Technology consulting and services company Visionet, a wholly-owned subsidiary of US-based global IT services provider Visionet Systems, Inc., has been selected by Swiss-based international humanitarian organization Medair as their global IT partner. Visionet will drive Medair’s transformation in streamlining human resource, logistics and financial management.

For Medair, this strategic partnership will bring about a software-enabled cultural change, which will impact most of its areas and not just finance and logistics. To achieve this vision, the organization undertook a rigorous technical selection process and eventually selected Visionet as their global IT partner. The Munich-based IT consulting and services provider possesses a strong track record of delivering high quality and cost-effective NGO vertical technology solutions to various humanitarian organizations and sectors, such as Education, Health & Safety, Microfinancing, Literature, Agriculture, Earthquake Rehabilitation, and more. Realizing the value of Medair’s cause, Visionet has provided a significant cost reduction for the project to contribute to its social responsibility.

Automation of finance, supply chain and logistics management processes will ultimately channel more resources to humanitarian aid projects. Additionally, the organization will be able to identify cost savings in supply chain management across all of its 13 country programmes.

Sharing her thoughts on the partnership, Heidi Cockram, Director of Information Technology Services at Medair said, “Some of our processes have still been paper-based. We are working in incredibly remote communities and we have been focused on helping people who are in dire situations. Visionet will help us bring our processes ahead by 30 years. We will reduce costs and the time we spend on processes, and we will be able to turn those resources towards helping more people. This is not only a gift; it is an investment.”

We are proud that Medair has put in its faith in our strong global presence and solid track record of enabling digital transformation across industries, including humanitarian organizations around the world. Medair is tirelessly bringing life-serving relief to some of the world’s most vulnerable communities, which is nothing short of incredible. “With this partnership, Visionet will also continue on its commitment to give back to the society, and we couldn’t be more honored,” said Frank Scholz, Visionet CEO Europe Region.
