The ROC syllabus (subject to change):
Day 1 Introductions
Review of the course program
Day 2 Medair: its history, mandate, work, values and structure
Introduction to the project simulation*
Day 3

Humanitarian context, basic principles of project management
Practical exercises: stress, cross-culture and team-building

Day 4 Security and contact with authorities
Dealing with injustice, suffering and death
Day 5 Simulation day - the teams complete their field survey
Testimonies from the field
Day 6 Personality profiles and team dynamics
Presentation and evaluation of the project proposals
Day 7 Personal interviews**
Briefing on current Medair projects and job profiles
Day 8 Final meetings
Departure

*The ROC consists of lectures and a practical simulation. The simulation runs throughout the entire course, culminating in the preparation and presentation of a project proposal. The simulation includes practical exercises, research, and working with daily updates of changing field conditions and security bulletins.

** each participant will be interviewed by a senior member of the Medair Human Resources team to discuss their possible future with Medair.
