  • 295 births, including 63 patients with major OB/GYN complications treated successfully in Yawan clinic

  • Helped curb an escalating rabies problem in Faizabad

  • Primary health care provided to 200,000 people
  • Operational guidance for eight health clinics, 94 health posts, and two TB hostels
  • Almost 150 Community Health Workers trained
  • Treatment for 3,000 TB patients in six provinces and food for 5,000 people through TB control project
  • Health kits distributed to 760 families and health training for 900 people
  • Ongoing training for all professionals in Medair health centres

Rehabilitation

  • Construction started on a new basic health care centre in a remote village in Badakhshan
  • Structural maintenance and improvements to clinic buildings throughout province
  • Maintenance of two remote airstrips.
