Afghanistan

An entrenched history of violent conflict has led to massive neglect and underdevelopment throughout Afghanistan. Since 1996, we have been providing emergency relief and rehabilitation to the most vulnerable populations in remote and often mountainous regions.

Our main goal is to improve access to health care with a special focus on maternal health. We also provide food aid and food security activities to combat malnutrition, and increase access to safe water and sanitation.

We currently employ approximately 10 internationally recruited staff (IRS) and 77 nationally recruited staff (NRS). In addition, we support 60 medical staff in the health facilities.
