Medair brings emergency relief and rehabilitation to some of the world’s most vulnerable people. But how do our beneficiaries become so vulnerable? In most cases, they are afflicted by not one but a multitude of problems, compounding one another and increasing the level of their suffering.
- Medair serves people who have been affected by conflicts, natural disasters, or other crises such as drought or infectious disease. In many countries, our beneficiaries have been struck by all three of these devastating events.
- They often live in isolated locations that are difficult-to-reach because of insecurity, adverse weather, and geographical obstacles.
- Our beneficiaries contend with frequent illness and other hardships resulting from minimal access to health care, safe water and sanitation, or proper shelter and infrastructure.
