Jean-Claude

Meet Jean Claude...

Jean Claude: "Houses have fallen down, family members have lost their lives."
Jean Claude is a father and community leader.

Medair always tries to work through existing community structures.
Jean Claude is a leader of what the Haitians call "solidarity groups" organized after the earthquake to pool resources and take care of their immediate neighborhood. Medair is working through these groups.

Jean Claude speaking with local resident and Medair beneficiary, Madame Lapin. You'll remember Madame Lapin as the mother of eight from last week's stories.

More robust NFI kits will be distributed to each of the 4500 households Medair assists. NFI kits are an important tool in disaster situations to help communities get back on their feet.  They often contain things like pots, pans, washtubs, soap, stoves, cooking utensils, candles, mosquito nets, etc.
